My coworker and I went to Lancaster Deli and were blown away by how good the food was. We both ordered the Turkey Deluxe on Texas toast; she got a side of coleslaw and I got potato salad. The portions were huge! The owner at the counter was very friendly, and the place was very clean. We will definitely be back.

Amazing experience here, first time in. The owner was extremely kind and welcoming. You can tell he genuinely cares about what he’s serving and how he’s serving. Probably the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had, (Jethro on Texas Toast with Candied Jalapeños)

This deli is a true gem in Lancaster City! The honey curry chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing and it's such a unique option that I haven’t seen at any other deli. The homemade potato salad was also delicious, and it’s a nice touch that sandwiches come with a side included. We also tried the hibiscus tea and cinnamon lemonade, both of which were refreshing and full of flavor. On top of the great food, the hospitality was excellent. We were warmly welcomed, and the owner clearly takes pride in the place. Delicious food and friendly service—highly recommend!

Lancaster Downtown Deli is a gem. Their sandwiches are made with real care—you can taste the intention in every bite. Fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, and portions that hit just right. But what truly sets them apart is their hospitality. The team makes you feel genuinely welcome, like you’re part of the neighborhood. A place that gets both food and people right. Highly recommend.

I stopped in today to pick up two Big Kahuna Tuna sandwiches for my wife and I and they were delicious. The owner was very nice and provided very friendly service. This is hands down the best tuna salad in Lancaster. The coleslaw and the potato salad was fantastic too. I cannot wait to go back! Highly recommend.

This Deli is such a hidden gem of Lancaster!! Amazing food and prices but the best part is an owner who clearly loves what he does and cares about doing it well! We had a classic BLT which was fresh and delicious and we also tried the homemade hibiscus flower lemonade that truly rocked our world on a hot day!! We will DEFINITELY be back and highly recommend this establishment!!

Literally the best Corned Beef and Sauerkraut sandwich I have ever had. The owner, Tom, takes obvious delight in crafting amazing sandwiches. His hibiscus tea is the perfect blend of sweet and tart . We will definitely be back! We enjoyed a round of checkers while we waited. A nice way to spend the day.

Difficult to find (maybe a larger sign?) 🤔 but worth the effort! Fresh sandwiches 🥪 made to order (just the way you like) 😋 with plenty of fresh made sides and sodas. Great find on our trip into "the city" 😁

We almost didn’t stop to eat here. Another place down the road had caught our eye and we were already headed that way, but something told us to turn back at the last minute. Best decision ever. Now, you’d think a deli sandwich is just a deli sandwich; bread, meat, cheese, the usual. How hard can it be, right? Well, let me tell you, these sandwiches are in a league of their own. I ordered a BLTC (yes, with cheese) and the care the owner put into stacking every layer showed up in every single bite. The bread was toasted just right, the bacon crisp but not burnt, the tomatoes juicy, and the lettuce fresh like it had just been picked. Honestly, I caught myself grinning and bobbing my head back and forth like a fool halfway through the sandwich. My fiancé went adventurous with some sort of chicken concoction that’s hard to put into words, one of those “you need to try this” situations. A couple bites in and we were already planning our return trip. And then, the potato salad. Oh, the potato salad….Perfectly chopped potatoes, creamy mayo blended with just the right amount of seasoning, it tasted like someone’s grandma had made it with love and then handed it to us with a wink. Almost sad I order chips instead, but my fiancé let me have a taste. We had the homemade tea to wash it all down, and not only was it refreshing, but the owner even offered a top-off (which instantly won him extra points in my book). The kicker? The price. Totally unbeatable for the level of service, quality, and heart that went into every detail. You don’t just leave full, you leave happy, like you stumbled onto a hidden gem you almost drove past. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor: skip the chain spots, trust your gut, and stop here. Highly recommended, and we’ll absolutely be back!!probably sooner than we should admit.
